Charles Harding is Director of Safety and has been with Intermountain Electric since 2001. He began his career as a licensed journeyman electrician, giving him a strong foundation in the field and a clear understanding of the environments he now helps protect. Today, he leads IME’s safety and risk management efforts with a focus on ensuring every employee returns home safely. Charles sets the standard for safety across the organization, overseeing training programs, jobsite audits, and the development of safety policies, procedures, and manuals. He also reviews Job Hazard Analyses and advises on risk mitigation strategies.
Charles is an authorized OSHA and MSHA instructor and actively mentors the next generation of safety professionals. He teaches safety classes through the electrical apprenticeship program and holds multiple certifications through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), including SMP, CHST, and OHST. He also serves on the board of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), Colorado Chapter.
